Sonoma Horse Park's HMI June Classic a Huge Success

Another great weekend at Sonoma Horse Park!!!

It's always a pleasure to be able to show in a premier facility while still staying home. It was a weekend full of great competition with spectacular price money at stake.

The EMO Horsemanship Equitation Final was disputed over two rounds over fences and a flat phase. Ransome and Gaston where in great shape and dominated the competition with scores of 90, 91 and 95 wining all three rounds and becoming champions for the second year in a row (last year it was aboard Margin Call).

Then it was time for the $20,000 Equestrian Concierge Open Equitation Championship for Pairs, which was won last year by Daniel and Ransome. This time Ransome paired up with another junior rider, Eve Jobs and Daniel found a great partner in Carli Bechtel. Both teams showed solid rounds throughout the competition. Ransome and Eve finished in second place and Daniel and Carly finished third with less than a point separating them. Ransome's up and coming equitation horse, Atlas Peak, demonstrated all the talent and potential that this horse has in the equitation ring solving all the tests that the demanding equitation challenge presented.

Ransome also won the WIHS Medal overall on Frenchie and won all three 15-17 Age Group Equitation classes on Gaston.

Albertino was in great form getting Reserve Champion in the 1.20’s and a 3rd place in the 1.30’s.

Daniel and Tyler Stewart's Jambo! showed great rounds and placings in the 1.30's and entered Jambo!'s first ever GP. We look forward to see this pair develop in the bigger divisions in the near future.
